Community Outreach: Local

The congregation at LCR is dedicated to being good stewards. Here are a few of the ongoing activities we support in our local community.

Angel Tree

During the Christmas holiday, our church sets up an Angel Tree. Each angel on the tree includes the wish list of local children in need. Members of the LCR congregation select one or more angels from the tree and purchase the items from the list. Items are wrapped and then distributed for Christmas.

Bloodmobile

Several times per year, the Red Cross brings the bloodmobile to our facility. Members of our church and the local community donate blood at this time. [Florida Blood Services].

Clothes to Kids

LCR collects clothing donations to support Pinellas County Clothes to Kids. [Clothes for Kids].

F.E.A.S.T.

Throughout the year, LCR distributes empty food bags for our members to return filled with groceries. Palm Harbor Food Pantry then picks up the donations for members of our local community [F.E.A.S.T.].

Haven of RCS

Esther Circle regularly collects clothing and toiletries for Haven of RCS [Haven of RCS].

Noisy Cans

During the months that have five Sundays, we have a noisy can offering on the fifth Sunday. Our youth collect change from the congregation. This collection is then donated to a local charity.

Resurrection House (REZ House)

Throughout the year, members of LCR provide support to Resurrection House in Dade City [REZ House].

Souper Bowl of Caring

Each year, LCR participates in the Souper Bowl of Caring on Super Bowl Sunday. [Souper Bowl of Caring]. The food and money collected are donated to a local food bank.

In addition to supporting the above organizations, LCR offers the use of our facilities to members of the surrounding community. To learn more, click here.

Endowment Committee

The LCR Church Council created an Endowment Committee in 2008 to oversee the creation and management of a permanent fund to be used to support the overall mission of LCR. To review complete details of the Endowment Committee Funding Guidelines, click here.
